YOUTH CLASSES
This program is focused on helping engage students while learning tennis skills. Each week focuses on building fundamentals, introducing match play concepts and helping players gain confidence on the court through games, drills and friendly competition. Whether your child is new to tennis or continuing to develop their skills, the emphasis is on learning, gaining confidence and enjoying the game.
Ages 5-8
Introduction to Tennis
6 week session | Jun 22 - Jul 31

This class is designed for children 5-8. It’s a solid introduction for those with minimal formal tennis exposure. New players learn game fundamentals through fun drills and games designed to engage.
Tracking and contacting the ball
Introduction to ground strokes, volleys and serves
This class is taught on a smaller court with lighter, easier to hit tennis balls.

Ages 9-11
Skill Builder

This class is designed for children 9-11. Players have a foundational understanding of tennis and know the fundamentals of ground strokes, volleys and serves. The emphasis is on

Match Play Introduction
6 week session | Jun 22 - Jul 31
Monday - Thursdays
Session: 2:00 - 3:00pm
Players have a solid understanding of tennis including ground strokes, volley and serves (some students will be working their way to full court). The focus is to get players ready to play matches on Team.

Team: JV - Varsity
7 week session | Jun 22 - Aug 7
Practice: Mondays & Wednesdays Matches: Fridays
Practice times will be assigned by skill level

This is a great way to build match play experience in singles and doubles. Meet other players and partner with different teammates. JV - Varsity level players have a solid understanding of tennis rules and court etiquette for match play.
Players will be partnered with other team players for matches.

Matches may be played at multiple locations including Old Edmonds-Woodway High School, Shorewood High School, Shorecrest High School. We are exploring an opportunity to play Arbor Heights (in West Seattle). Teams we traditionally play include Klahaya and Aqua Club.

ADULT CLASSES
Session 1: April 27 - May 15
Beginners: M/W (1.5 hours) 9:30 - 11am · USTA 1.5 - 2.5
Are you brand new to tennis? This class is for you! You’re just picking up a racket and are ready to learn the basics of our beautiful sport. Come and learn:
· Foundational skills including proper racket grip
· Basic footwork
· Fundamental swing / contact with the ball
Together, we’ll learn the fundamentals through curated drills and end with light rally and game play. (USTA 1.5-2.5)
Intermediate: M/W (1.5 hours) 8 - 9:30am · USTA 2.5 - 3.5
This class is for players who have match play experience and are ready to refine their game with improved consistency, technique & strategy. We will focus on growing our fundamentals through shot selection and learning new tactics, and end with applying our new skills in crafting points.
Doubles Strategy: T/TH (1.5 hours) 9:30-11am · USTA 3.5 - 4.0
This class is built for players currently competing in USTA match play and those looking to gain a real edge in their matches. We focus on smart strategy, on-court tactics, positioning and effective partner communication.
Students will be grouped by skill level to ensure a challenging, competitive & highly engaging learning environment.
